Saturday 2nd June
The first Saturday of June. It can only mean one thing.
Makers Boutique Market!!! http://makersboutique.webeden.co.uk/
The first day of the 4 day Jubilee Holiday started off bright and sunny but unfortunately it was short lived. The only draw back to having a stall outside the Unitarian Church - having to quickly adapt to the changeable British weather. A few of my Foxy Friends went flying in the wind on more than one occasion but being a British crafter, I stoically persevered with a smile on my face and a Foxy Friend on my arm. (The bitter shandy I had may have helped a little too...)
Customers kept asking me where my 'Jubilee Stock' was so after explaining that I didn't really want to spend a lot of time making stock that I might be stuck with for another 60 years ;) - I made a few Jubilee Crown Brooches (sold them all!) and gave my Foxy Friend a snazzy new crown. It seemed to do the trick.
Tehe.

Monday 4th June
The start of a very exhausting but rewarding couple of days at the Brighton Craftaganza Summer Fair in the Fabrica Gallery and I had my usual pitch :) I love being nestled between those two pillars. It feels a little like my very own shop (keep dreaming Lucy...)http://brightoncraftaganza.wordpress.com/
These handmade cards were also made especially for the Jubilee but I think they are perfect greeting cards for all year round. 'God Save The Fox'.
Grumpy Little TWO-FACE! I made a few of these guys again on the Sunday. They are always a hit. USP = They are great mood indicators.
Oh look, it's the Queen hanging out in the FREE WORKSHOP CORNER teaching a bit of crochet to the masses. How very generous Ma'am is with her precious time, especially on the Jubilee holiday ;-)
In all seriousness now - Craftaganza really went to town this month on it's organization, promotion and the brilliant addition of the Free Workshop Corner. It was great to see kids & adults alike sitting down and trying their hand at crochet and needlework. I saw the SuperSuperHQ girls teaching a bit of handkerchief tapestry on the Tuesday as well. http://supersuperhq.com/2012/06/07/a-super-june-craftaganza/
Cheeky!
The Fabrica Gallery: What a great venue!!! Definitely one of my favourite Brighton Craft Events! & it was especially fun this year due to the toe tapping playlist selection courtesy of the fabulous Kirstin Stride http://kirstinstride.com/ It had everyone dancing behind their stalls even when the heavens opened on the Tuesday afternoon.
Me & the Little Things i Make looking unusually bashful...
Possibly the best cushions EVER (but maybe not one's for your Gran's sofa ^.^)I HAVE to get one next time I see Deborah http://www.thepinkminx.co.uk/
*PHEW* Well that about summed up my Jubilee Holiday. Twas very crafty indeed and I wouldn't have had it any other way :) A big thankU to all the crafty organizers and also to everyone that was out at the Foundry Street Party on the Monday evening - what a hoot! If only it could be Jubilee every year...
