Brighton Craftaganza Spring Market 24th March 2012

Had a really fun day selling the Little Things i Make at the Brighton Craftaganza Spring Market (http://brightoncraftaganza.wordpress.com/) on Saturday!!!  The organizers had really gone to town with the promotion and basically took over the web! The social media scene was buzzing with #craftaganza updates ;-)  I had the same stall spot as I had at the Xmas Craftaganza market so I was even happier.  I really like being at a diagonal to the entrance and I had these great old pillars to hang my Tote Bags & Long Legged Monkey Bear's from.  Oh & I had my lovely crafty Mum with me in the morning = an extra special fair!

A few of the  Little Things i Make  with hand knitted scarves on there.  With the weather we're having, I may have to start making swimming costumes & sun hats...

These BRAND NEW!! Little Bunny Brooches were a BIG HIT! They're available to buy online http://www.etsy.com/listing/95619161/little-bunny-brooch but I will be making more to sell at Makers Boutique http://www.makersboutique.co.uk/ next Saturday (&th April).

My Long Legged Monkey Bear's also had a A LOT of interest. People seemed to really like the individual labels.  These are also available online: http://www.etsy.com/listing/95786490/grey-long-legged-monkey-bear

THE VENUE: The Fabrica Gallery, Duke Street, Brighton. http://fabrica.org.uk/about-fabrica/
It's a really great space for an art event.  The only thing is that there isn't an imposing main entrance like the Unitarian Church so people could walk past and not know that anything was happening inside.  Saying that, that wasn't the case for this Craftaganza!!! The team were outside with balloons, handing out flyers and inviting people in to not only check out the wonderful handmade goodies that Brighton has to offer but also partake in a yummy Baileys Hot Choc!  Luckily the weather was GLORIOUS so I doubt the team minded being outside much... :D
There are two lovely crafty locals on the left sharing a stall.  Jude Turner and her wonderful handmade button jewellery https://www.facebook.com/JessieJumbles  the beautifully delicate silk hair ornaments & brooches of Emily Wright of https://www.facebook.com/CuttlefishloveKanzashi . Check them out!!!

There's my MUM!!! Perusing the stalls...
Illuminated in the right hand corner is the lovely Sarah 'rockcake' Meredith - Check out her great new designs at http://www.rockcakes.com/ (the 'Hello' necklace is a must have!)
All in all a great day! Not record sales but a lot of new contacts & great feedback. Thanks Craftaganza - I look forward to the next event!!!

  3. What a lovely place to have an event. Your bunnies and long-legged monkey bears are gorgeous. Fairs are great for making new contacts, even if sales are low (not that we want them to be!). Hope you have a good week.

    1. Thank you!! and Yes you're so right! I always think of craft events more in terms of advertising/merchandising & contact making (Ooh and to have fun with all my wonderful creative pals!:D )
I always get a lot of commission & online sales after these events from people picking up my card. It's good to keep in the public eye (even if sales are low).
Hope you're having a great week!! Thanks for the comment!!!
