Flower Power

I'm on holiday in Dubai at the moment! Staying with the Ashworth clan. Being totally cosseted, spoilt and indulged. One of the great things about Dubai (apart from the sun, sand and sea!) Is the cultural diversity.
I went shopping in Satwa yesterday. A part of Dubai completely dedicated to material shops full of everything your little creative hearts could desire!!!! And all imported from India at minimal cost. Needless to say i was like a kiddie in a sweet shop:)
Apart from buying 5 yards of torquoise velvet to make cushions for my new sofa (which cost less than the ONE cushion i had my eye on in Habitat!) - I found beautiful velvet flowers, ribbon and delicate butterflies.
After a game of dress up with my little sister Sarah, i thought about making fascinators ...
... at the moment it's purely because i think they're really pretty and i've got a wedding to go to next year (um, ages away!) but if people become interested it may be something i would add to the Little Things i Make. (If not - i've got pretty things to wear in my hair every day)
Peace & Love
